One can notice many decorative “eyed” boats, called luzzu, these eyes are believed to protect the boats, and its owners, from the evil eye.
On Sundays an open air market is set to sell various species of fish freshly caught , souvenirs, clothing, home decorations, plants and some delicious typical maltese food. Marsaxlokk also offers some great walks through country side, cliffs and rocky bays .
