Paris is France’s Capital city, well known for it’s chic hotels, shops and restaurants. It is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe with it’s many attractions and romantic atmosphere.

Paris has efficient public transport and underground, it should be easy to travel around to visit several interesting spots. Public transportation is readily available. Exploring Paris

Traveling to Paris you will not be the only tourist around. If you have never been in Paris before however, you should still make sure to see the major tourist attractions like the Eiffeltower, Notre Dam, Champs-Elysees, the Louvre and much more. Where many travel agencies host tours around the city, it is not that hard to find your way around yourself.

Most citizens of the metropolis’ centre speak English and all attractions are pretty easy to find. Expect long queues when visiting the Mona Lisa in the Louvre or climbing the Eiffeltower. Paris is full of interesting and stimulating places. It has for years been a magnet for artists, writers and great thinkers. There are shops, bakeries and quaint cafes, it is the destination for lovers of art and culture. Shopping in Paris

Paris is divided into quarters or arrondissements, each with its own shopping. Marais is the place for elegance that is St-Germain for international fashion brands and Montmartre dripping with romance.

Paris is of course home to large French department stores, Les Grands Magasins such as Galeries Lafayette and Printemps and you can spend all day browsing them. But the mere pleasure of shopping in Paris, comes from visiting galleries or passages, the 19th century glass-roofed shopping arcades that just oozes charm and transform rainy days in shopping adventure.

Keep in mind that most shops in Paris close on Sundays, which allows you to explore one of the city’s many flea markets.

While spending your whole holiday in Paris is certainly a possibility, there is more than enough in France to see apart from Paris.
