Yellowstone National Park, established by the U.S. Congress, is a national park located primarily in the state of Wyoming, which now extends into Montana and Idaho.
Built in 1872, the Yellowstone National Park is famous for wildlife and various geothermal features, especially the Old Faithful Geyser. It also owns different types of ecosystems, with the dominant sub-alpine forests.

As the first national park in the world, the Yellowstone National Park is the most abundant landscape of United States, of which exists snow mountains, forests, lakes, canyons, as well as rivers. The movie 2012 about the Yellowstone National Park raised the reputation once again.
Yellowstone National Park, covering an area of 3,468.4 square miles, is one of the largest high-altitude lakes in North America and centered on the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest super active volcano on the continent. It has erupted several times in recent two million years with tremendous force.

The geothermal features are fueled by ongoing volcanism, covering most of Yellowstone. Thousands of mammals, birds, fish and reptiles have been documented, including the endangered. There are also a large number of animals like grizzly bears, wolves, and free-ranging herds of bison and elk. The oldest and largest public bison herd are in the United States too. Every year, forest fires take place in the park; especially the 1988s forest fire, almost one third of the park was burnt up.
There exists a great many recreational facilities, such as hiking, camping, boating, fishing as well as sightseeing. There also provides close access to the major geothermal areas and various lakes and waterfalls.
