The Empresa Malaguena de Trasportes is an extensive network of buses within the city and has a number of bus cards available to cater to individual needs. The frequency of buses is great and the buses are well maintained and air conditioned. There is an airport bus every 30 minutes from the city centre. In order to travel to places nearby to Malaga one can use Malaga’s main bus station located about a kilometer away from the city centre.
There are 2 trail lines in Malaga. The train lines connect you to the famous Costa de Sol resorts. The tickets are cheap and the trains punctual, the only slight drawback being that they do not stop at every station and one must be careful before boarding. A number of Taxis are available and can be utilized if there is no public transport. In case of medical emergencies there are 5 major hospitals/clinics in and nearby Malaga that cater to the medical needs of the people of which the Hospitales en Malaga Salud is the one present in the heart of city and is best equipped.
The hotels are not spread out through Malaga but rather concentrated into one of two districts. The Centro district houses majority of the cities accommodation. Even the budget hotels provide decent accommodation with a warm décor with prices starting at 30 Euros per night. The luxury hotels have rates starting at 83 Euros and go all the way upto 1000 Euros per night. The mid range hotels cost around 100 to 300 Euros per night.
